Evernote – keeping track of it all.

There are bunches of file folders in my office, receipts, invoices, manuals, you name it.  All safely stashed away somewhere.  All collecting dust until tax season or when the next little office cleaning day is scheduled.  When I decided to clean things out  I still agonize whether to keep things – just in case, or throw them out.

Enter Evernote.

Evernote allows you to create notes, attach websites, take voicenotes – you name it.  The best part is that you can check all your notes from your mobile device – quick and easy.  What mobile device can check your stuffy file drawer?

Give it a try – you will like it.

Kaden – One Year

Today was the day – a little late, but none the less time was not on our side any longer.  We had to get the one year pictures done before our son got too much older.  There is no catching up on missed opportunities when it comes to documenting the growth of a child.

So here is daddy setting up the backdrop, the lights and giving stern instructions to the older kids not to interrupt.  The son is ready (a little hungry but ready) – here we go.

Wait the instructions to the older children needed to be repeated on more time, the cat removed from the background – now we are ready:

Now a few with the white background – by now the smiles were harder to come by.

The end – nap time

Enjoy.

love those pics!!!!! the overalls are adorable… you got some great ones! he’s just precious!

Simple Joys – or a little chocolate goes a long way.

I so often marvel at our little children.
Why is it that all their days are exciting and new and once you grow up you seem to resent the monotony that one has created?  How come a child can eat a birthday cake with complete disregard to the way they look during or after, while I cannot get going until I have a fork, napkin, and some peace and quiet to enjoy it??
Our son had his first birthday and yes, he does seem to make a mess with every meal he gets, however, strangely enough, a quick clean up takes care of most of it.
Enjoy the simple things – eat with your hands, worry about the clean up later.

Pause.

Enjoy.

Count your blessings.

Lukas 3 year pictures

Another year has passed and the kids are growing up quickly.  It seems just yesterday our daughter was born and now she is running the show.  Our son is three now – time for another birthday session.  My son and I went to one of our favorite parks.  To qualify as a favorite park it has to meet two qualification, playground for him and shade trees for me.

When we first started taking their pictures I used to be under the illusion of taking these long picture session with my kids – hours and hours of trying different setups, locations, etc.  I since have been healed and now realize that most kids – including ours – have an attention span of about one minute.  You have to keep things moving and exciting otherwise things get boring quickly.

Here are a few pics of our 3 year old son:

Enjoy
