Thanksgiving – a little late

This post could have been posted 3 days ago, however, at that point I would probably just be thankful about the food that was imminent.  Thank you for the turkey, thank you for the sweet potatoes, thank you for the cranberries, thank you for the stuffing …  You get the idea.  I did not want to make this post about the things that are tangible in front of us or material in nature.  Those things come and go and being thankful should not be dependent on whether the table is full or empty.

Thankfulness is more of an attitude that is or is not in one’s life.  Being thankful is not the same as saying thank you.

This season try to:

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.  [1Thes 5:16-18]
