Our Story

Who we are:

Vohwinkel Photography is the vision & creation of Matthias & Stephanie Vohwinkel, who have been a husband and wife team since 2000. We both share an enthusiasm for photography; and we, as individuals, have pursued it as a hobby for years. We provide a wonderful balance to one another with our unique differences, while simultaneously having that special intuition reserved for couples and best friends.

Matthias, the main photographer, was born & raised in Germany. Stephanie, the artistic visionary, was born & raised in the USA. Together we love to travel, giving us an eye for the unique and ability to capture fleeting moments in time.

Following the birth of our first child, we combined our talents and utilized our equipment to take beautiful family photography. The praise we received over the years is the seed from which Vohwinkel Photography has grown. Our children are the inspiration behind Vohwinkel Photography.

What we want:

Our desire is to have a relationship with you. Whether you are a Mom or Dad wanting to capture their little baby, a Senior wanting to memorialize their accomplishments, or a Bride or Groom wanting to capture their big day, we want to get to know you.

We know that there are several photographers who stand ready to take your portraits. When you entrust Vohwinkel Photography with the privilege of recording your family and family celebrations, we take the responsibility very seriously. As individuals, we possess unique skills and photography talents. When these different skills are combined to compliment each other when planning, shooting, and reviewing your photographs we are confident that you will receive a keepsake portrait that you will be proud and excited to own and share with others.
